Priced  up a crank position sensor for the Mig,thick end of £60,one for the Jag XJ6 is £25! How does that work??

think the last one i bought from auto-vaux was £30. that was a gen one.

Make sure you get the cheaper one. Vauxhall's EPC is often wrong with cranksensors, and shows the more expensive, incompatible one.

Correct part is normally about £40+VAT trade.

Those cowboys actaully sent out a genuine part  :o.  Did it come in a hologrammed GM box, or was it Autovaux's idea of genuine (the supplier may have supplied a nut to GM in the past, thus are a genuine supplier).

Haven't bought one yet.As I understand it there are 2 types with different shaped plugs,an oval one or a square one,is that correct?Before ordering one I'm going to check mine to see what shape plug is,but the part number I've been given by local Vauxhall agent is 90540743 priced at £44.57 + v.a.t. that's going off my reg.no.and chassis no.The car is a year 2000 F/L 3.0 V6 do these numbers sound right?

I work at a Ford/Citroen/Nissan dealership[I'm a car valeter,explains why my cars are always filthy!]and that was the Vauxhall price to them.

I've today changed the CS on my MV6 which is also a 2000 3.0 f/l, which had the rounded edged plug. hope that helps
