Seth's Newent report!
« on: 02 September 2012, 19:51:47 »

Well, the Seths are safely back home in The Valleys after five days at Newent.
(And nine days at Minehead prior to that!).

Completely enjoyed our annual 'Summer Camp' (as usual!), and no complaints from us.
Great to meet the usual faces, renew acquaintances with Jim, Joff and Shackeng, and first-timers Marie, m.ian, NF and Alan (YZ250). Also fantastic to see our 'Junior OOFers' (and the 'OOF hounds'!) getting along so well together.

Saturday evening's proceedings were of the usual high standard - though TB's quiz had at least one 'questionable' question (Mr Beanz will no doubt agree!).

A few photos:

TD Reunion: Our previous car (left) made an appearance soon after our arrival on the Tuesday afternoon.
She's still running beautifully at nearly 170k miles.

A line-up on the Saturday afternoon - in the absence of our leaders.
L-R: Shackeng's Joff's, Entwood's, m.ian's, BobG's, Jim's, Seth's, Marie's, dad1uk's, Astroblaster's.

(Entwood talked me into setting this up ..... honest!).

And finally, our 'Junior Section' (blees 'em!), during their invasion of the 'Young Seths' play-tent!

Roll on 52 weeks everyone!

Lovely to meet you as well mate.  :y

It can be very difficult to break in to a circle of people that already know each other but you made us feel very welcome.  :y I try to attend local meets so I did know a couple of people but it was our first time at Newent. Nice little site with some lovely countryside.  :y
As it's not too bad a run for us, we may return on random weekends, when you noisy OOF'ers aren't there.  ;D ;D

Was good to meet the other guys and gals as well.  :y

Regards
Alan

Good photos, and good to see you and Mrs Seth again :D

Now, what was the dubious question (or should I say answer)?

Part way through book number three.  ::) Mrs TB reckons it's the best one so I'd better save my energy in case she gets to a good bit.  ;) ;) ;D ;D

Yes indeed - if it wasn't for Daz's original idea, there wouldn't be a Newent meet.

Let's hope that his new job works out okay, and that we'll witness a return of our 'Great One' next year! ;)
