Climate Control
« on: 10 September 2012, 22:47:41 »

And here was me thinking I had all the bugs ironed out of my Climate System  :)
I have a 1997 Omega Elite, I noticed today with climate temp set to 19 the air was cold, I increased the temp to 22 as it was a cold day but after 5 mins thought bloody hell it's still cold in here, to cut a long story short the only way to get hot air through any vents was to set the temp to HI only the climate control. I had this problem before on a VW and it was a broken wire on the sensor on top of the dash.
I also noticed the wooden trim surrounding the 4 round climate control buttons was very hot to the touch.
I just want to get any input on this before I go dismantling the dash yet again!!

Is your external temp sensor working correctly?
(I think it directly affects the climate control)

Outside temp sensor seems to read ok even if it is only applicable to facelift cars
