Saw that, somehow they are coding keys to the car?  :-\

Mainly X5 and X6.
Once they became aware of it, bmw put a fix in place to hopefully prevent it happening in the future. This was resolved by bmw in 2011 but we all have to accept that no car is un-stealable. My mates car was lifted over a wall by a Hiab so if they are that determined you've got no chance.

One featured in BBC London, was a BMW M1, brand spankers!

Yep, and that is a major floor of keyless ignitions.

Oh Dear. That's not good then. It shouldn't happen to any with a build date after September 2011. (or so we are told)

Yep, and that is a major floor of keyless ignitions.

We've seen people walk away from cars with keyless ignitions and leave their engines running. They get something out of the boot and just walk off, forgetting to turn them off.

But still much harder and takes longer than a keyless ignition setup when the coding is cracked.
