WANTED: Facelift Elite Front Seats
« on: 19 September 2012, 21:09:03 »

As title, I'm looking for a pair of front seats from a facelift elite.

I don't care if they are leather or cloth, and I'm not worried if the heater pads work or not.

I'm only concerned that all the electric motors work well, and that the runners have a smooth operation.  Also that the side plastic trim must be the dark charcoal / black colour and are also in good condition and complete with all control knobs and buttons...

So get in touch and let me know what you've got...  :y

Is it possible to retrofit the memory ecu to non elite seats to provide the memory function ? Might be easier to find than a set of seats at a low price ?
Otherwise,Paul Lovejoy bought a set of cloth elite seats from me a year ago but I dont think he ever got around to fitting them ?
Hes selling his Omega now so the seats may be spare ?
I sort of know why you want them ,so my leather interior is probably a bit too upmarket  - i.e. presume you want roughish looking seats for very little money ?

From what I can tell, it's more than just the ecu and wiring.  The elite's have additional motors and the frames themselves are different to lesser spec'd models.

Yeah, don't really want to spend too much, and it would seem a shame to rip apart a good set of seats.

Can you remember if the seats Paul had off you had the black plastic trims?

Failing that, I seem to remember letting Zirk have a set of the exact seats I now need a while back... what's the betting they are still in a lock-up somewhere... Problem is, he's probably forgotten where he put them!  ;D

Im ot certain but I think it would have had lighter colour trims as the seats were grey iirc.
Might be worth having a word with zirk then, and do a tour of east london/essex lock ups to find them. :y ;D

Yes ok, Ive got a funny feeling I may still have them, fairly sure I was holding them back for the de-Irmscher project which is now on hold.

Will give you a call over the next day or so.
