Rear suspension - flat.
« on: 20 September 2012, 14:26:35 »

Hi.
Just got back from a trip and realised the self-levelling unit on the rear drivers side - the arm that attaches to the strut has popped out of the ball joint. Managed to pop it back in but now the rear suspension seems like it isn't working. If you sit in the boot and bounce the car it has no give.
Is there anything that re-gasses the suspension or is it knackered.

Have you tried switching on the ignition and seeing if the air pump cuts in(drivers side front inner wing)?,that is assuming your car has self leveling rear end(check for air pipes to rear shocks)

See the guide. Raise the arm and see if the pump kicks in. Etc

Tested arm, suspension goes up and releases, not fast but ok. Reconnected arm and drove car.
Seems to be slightly hard on the rear now. Perhaps this will ease with some miles on it.
Thanks for the info - again. :y
