Yup, Hotel21 is your man.
You need to turn up to him with:
Key (easier if you've already had it cut) with transponder - ebay, less than a tenner delivered.
Fob (I would recommend a brand spankers from dealer, rather than 2nd hand, if its a facelift saloon) - £25+VAT approx trade price.
Carpass (it has the car's security number on it) - shop around, some dealers want £15+VAT, some want £50+VAT.
For the dealer parts, you could try a member here, andyc, for good prices.
Facelift Saloons use a 3 button fob, which are problematic once a few years old. The microswitches fail (easy enough to change with a steady hand and a compitent solderer, and available from the OOF Shop
), but if they are not changed, and fob continued to be used, as the user presses the buttons too hard (as it gets progressively worse), the rubber cover goes all manky, and falls apart. The replacement covers from ebay are universally shite.
