That's not right, the bump stops shouldn't be rubbing like that. And you can see by the crease marks where it's been hanging down around the centre spacer.

Wonder if;

The bush will be split when viewed from the back (needs to be removed to see)
Sumats bent. (Not likely)
We should remove the springs and see if they are equal length (again)

Can't think what else would force or allow that side of the sub frame to drop so much.

With a lever in them, how much do they move? That compression rub could be a sign that the top is already split :-\ it is an assumption that these only fail from underneath.
Very easy towards voids, less so towards filled areas.

Compared to brand new lemforder in garage, not as stiff, but hard to confirm, as can't hold it firm enough...

...not sure how old the Febi's are, either last summer or summer before

This was the side that ragged you off made you quite cross, IIRC?

Although it was alignment of it, not the bush going in, wasn't it?

Yes we had trouble getting the bolts back in/alignment issues. Bush whent in ok, and it's still in, by the pics.

I reckon fit poly anyway...;)

Reckon something is bent, given the troubles I had earlier (not posted about though), and troubles you had fitting them?

Fwiw, my nearside centre bolt was a complete shit to refit  >:( had to tighten the plate up and literally drive the arm forward :-\ took 3 none to delicate attempts...

Wonder if the subframe twists over time due to the torque being put through it :-\

Hell of a job to bend a subframe. And given the mounting points in a triangular shape(two by the dif, one in The end of each arm) if it was bent I can't see how that would force the arm down to over come the bush.

When jacking on the subframe arm, did the subframe rise up to the correct position...?

No :-\ but hand brake ineffective on that side, so arm was able to move forward and backwards rather than pivoting around the wheel radius :-\ just to add, it has been rear ended twice.
