BB 'sim not allowed'
« on: 25 September 2012, 23:09:56 »

My wife's 8520 has had this error all day, and despite removing the battery, sim etc I can't clear it. Tried to phone the provider a few times but apparently there's a new iPhone out which is causing all the lines to be busy!!??
Anyway, my son had mentioned there was a problem with BB itself and I was wondering if anyone had heard similar?

Cheers

Dump the Gooseberry, get a proper phone :P

That actually sounds like either a SIM fault or a Provider fault.  Means you need the helldesk, sorry  :'(.

Cheers TB. It's been halfway out the door several times  ;D
Unfortunately it's still in contract til April, at which point there will be some changes.

Just got it sorted tonight, and indeed it was a sim issue. The shop gave us a new card and once authorised, all is again well. For the time being anyway ........  :-X
