I dont know a great deal about football, but which bit of evidence did the FA see that the court never saw?

AFAIK .. none .... but the big difference is ...

Terry ADMITTED in both trials actually SAYING the words .. in the Courts of Law he denied they were racially motivated, and it was not proved beyond doubt that they were, therefore he was found "Not Guilty" of Racially Motivated Abuse, ....

in front of the FA there was no need to prove racism .. as he was only charged with abusive behaviour, all they had to prove was abuse, on the balance of probabilty ... which he had actually admitted to....

Having admitted to using the language I cannot, in all honesty, see any grounds for an appeal, and I think his resignation from international games sort of shows he knows it.

Correct imo. Two different hearings to answer two different sets of charges. :y
Personally,I think hes a chav retard and an arrogant moron. This is what society can expect when it worships at the altar of "sporting gods"like him,and enable them to earn £200k per week.Cant expect them to behave with class and have a sense of responsibilty.

What I can't understand is " What does Anton Ferninand see when he looks in a mirror?" A white face smiling back at him? NO, So why is BLACK so offensive? ??? ???
It used to be to quote the Godfather of Soul " Say it loud I'm black and I'm proud". What changed ???

What's your definition of racism? Serious question

Serious answer:- Prejudice of another because of their colour or creed in a belief that it makes them different

In that case the FA must have hundreds of cases every week. ::) ::)

Even one a week is one too many.

Just what do the youth (and adults come to think of it) actually look up to today?  For me a life ban would be appropriate for some behaviour I have seen.

There was a time when sportsmen were gentlemen. Not any more they are often just over paid thugs.

That wise old sage Joey Barton has weighed in....  ::)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19749030

...and I think he has a point. 12 game ban for violent conduct ( or tickling as he puts it!  ;D ), 4 game ban for racial abuse, which as Lineker pointed out is just one game more that a regular red card!  :-\ Suarez got an 8 game ban/£40,000 fine last year.  Not a lot of consistency at the FA....  ::)

To mere mortals like me, £220,000 is a lot of dosh!! What happens to it? Charity? or the FA Directors Christmas party fund?  Can/Does the Treasury get a cut? (Unearned income/Capital gains ::)???

Joey Barton got sent off 3 red cards at once  ::)

1st one for the tackle / 3 match ban
2nd one for pushing on of there players / 3 match ban
3rd one for verbel abuse towards the 4th official / 3 match ban

The extra 3 matches was awarded to him for being a total cock about it and having the cheek to appeal against the original bans when half the country saw what happened on the news  ::)

He was englands best player during the summers euro tournament and played to best of his ability, despite not being as fast as he once was.

FA is a joke - Its ok for a black player to drunkenly racially abuse an asian cab driver and play for england again, ok for a group of people who gangbang a 17 year old girl to play for england, ok for someone who physically attacks someone else to play for england, a manager found guilty of fraud an tax evasion....... but then a player forced out due to trial by media after being involved in sledgin that wasnt even taken offense by the victim until the kick it out / lets all be a victim mob stick there noses in.

So what if he screwed the ex girlfriend of a england team mate.
She was an ex and Terry was single so why not ?
She was also the england team bike (alegedly) and most of the single lads had been there.
Just because Wayne Bridge gets all hormonal because the girl he fell for dumped him for someone else then it gets plastered over every tabloid in the country.

The F.A. is a joke organisation just like the joke country we live in now to be honest.

He may or may not be the nicest of lads - but its all gossip and 5th hand media tales.... but the furor an media hate is a embarasment to any british male as it examples what we hav become = a nation of limpwristed liberal homosexuals and screechin, lilly livered, 'im offended by whatever im told to be offended by' girlymen.

We are sat here havin the piss taken out of us by journalists, politicians, foreigners, the ruling class and what do we do..... shriek in horror at a working class lad from east london called someone black and get sucked in by the media to hate 'JT' and see him as all is wrong with UK   >:( >:(

But the main thing is the media got there storys and sold some papers so thats ok then  >:( >:( >:(

Well Said!

If JT was guilty of abusive behaviour, what about Anton Ferdinand??  He openly admitted that he had been abusing Terry about the Wayne Bridge incident all game - but evidently that's OK.

If you ever go to a football game and Witness the abuse hurled at the players from the stands it is a wonder that there isn't more Cantana type incidents.  At the QPR game the other week, even QPR fans were surprised that JT didn't lose it at the sustained level of abuse he suffered at their hands.

But never mind, let's all wring our hands in despair because one of the worlds most inept organisations has determined that the word black is worse than the word (starts with C and rhymes with Stunt) - even when used (allegedly) back as a question!

That role should be reserved for the parents but who says a sports person should be a role model ?
Would that be the media by any chance who build them up as some sort of superstar then kick them back down so that they can make news and sell papers ?

He'll soon make the £220K back by resuming his unofficial, tax-free tours of Stamford Bridge. Or he could get some drugs off his dad to sell.

A weeks wage , i dont think he will miss it  ::)

This has taken the best part of a year to reach it's conclusion and in my opinion it's total pants. Should have been dealt with asap Terry gave a statement straight after the game to the Fa they new what was said but being the assholes that they are they drag it out, in the mean time the media have a field day with it Terry stood no chance. My lad plays mens footie and i have heard much worse every Sat from all sides but once the game is over they shake hands and go there separate ways. I am not on here to say i approve but there are much worse things going on in this world right now to worry about imho.

Police asked the FA to back off until their investigation and any court action was concluded, so as not to prejudiced any trial.

Still not all bad for JT, while his team mates are playing, he can be visiting their wives and girlfriends.  ::) ::)

And that is the way it should be imo.

Non of this 2 faced shakeing hands before the match.
Just get out there, do your best then after the match shake hands and go and have a beer in the players bar  :y
All testosterone fueled bitch fights should be left on the pitch and not dragged out in the media just because one bloke said something he shouldn't have in the heat of the moment  ;)
