Im confused about G3 rubbing compound
« on: 28 September 2012, 16:49:31 »

Right, im wanting to sort the cloudy headlights on my miggy, now im very confused, after reading many posts about headlight covers.

What exactly do I need? is it Farcla G3 rubbing compound?
If it is, its says its for paint? also, can this be really true?... http://www.fareclainc.com/pdf/msds/Advanced-G3-Liquid-Rubbing-Compound-NA-MSDS-July-2009.pdf .

Also, is there any special procedure on how to use it? i.e, masking tape? cloth used? excess paste removal?

Im confused, not one post has actually said how to use it, unless im doing a man look  :-\

Use it the same as any car polish. Clean area, then apply with a rag. Leave to dry then buff off with a clean rag, repeat endlessly as necessary. :y

if the headlights darkened and also cloudy, wet 2000 grid sanding will bring quicker results.. so you will spend less G3..

and dont forget to mask the surrounding area..
