EU referendum or maybe not
« on: 29 September 2012, 13:17:39 »

Clever words from Cameron on seeking the “fresh consent” of the British people for a new deal with the European Union, but stopped short of promising a referendum.

So the vast majority of gullible folk will say to themselves. "He is the man, we are going to have a referendum on being in the EU".

Vote winner in the interim popularity polls. Didn't he promise a referendum before?

I think Britain may well be IN the euro within five years, assuming the euro survives the next twelve months of course.

He wont give a genuine referendum, unless he somehow ends up in a position where he has ne realistic choice in the matter.Hes simply trying to fool the eurosceptic ,disaffected Tories who have switched to UKIP in increasing numbers into voting Tory again.
I doubt it wil work tbh.British voters have seen enough cynical conmen in the last 15 years or so,and can now smell one from 100 paces. Hes a pale blue Tony Blair, but doesnt realise that era has been and gone. As soon as the men in grey suits behind the scenes line up a replacement, they will pick their moment and cut his feet from under him. Theres nothing more ruthless than the Tory party, once they decide a leader is past their sell by date.Remember Thatcher ?
I dont believe he or any other PM wil sign the UK up to the euro in the next 5 years though. In the unlikely event of the euro surviving in its current form, they will hope to sign us up at some point, but imo it wil take longer than 5 years for the dust to settle on the current debacle, even if they did find some way of resusitating the carcass.

I think if they did try to sign us up to monopoly money, there would be a huge back lash. Bigger questions would also be asked on our entire membership.

Sooner we get out of the EU the better!

FFS! He promised a referendum before and didn't end up having the spine to go through with it. He didn't even use the word this time (and he was pressed for it several times in the interview I heard). ;D

Business as usual. Vote UKIP.

Weasel words from a cynical weasel trying to get more votes for this slightly less socialist than Labour party. If dithering Dave told me the sun was shining, I would go outside and check before I believed him. >:( >:( >:( >:(

Somebody who deceives you once shame on them, they deceive you twice shame on you. He's deceived me once, >:( >:( >:( >:( never again. Whatever he promises, it will make no difference, UKIP are getting my vote. :y :y :y :y

When it comes to the formation of the Federated States of Europe treaty which the Communist EU Commission leader is currently working on with his 27 member Politburo, CaMoron will do a McRuin by saying it is a tidying up exercise with no loss of sovereignty and like McRuin, will sneak in and out of the back door to sign it. That will remove our Euro opt-out as a basic requirement of the EUSSR will be a single currency. When Traitor Heath joined the EU this was always the plan, by stealth to steal our freedom and democracy. Google FCO 1030 written at the time spells this out. It has just taken 10-15 years longer than FCO 1030 expected.  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

This is a European dream come true for the French, to subjugate the British, remember revenge is a meal best eaten cold. Crecy, Agincourt, Battle of the Nile, Trafalgar, Waterloo,  :y :y :y :y all the best Empire countries, WWI and WWII  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ to name but a few French defeats and embarrassments. Remember the French are the only nation in the world who have made heroes of their defeated Admirals and Generals as they have never had any winners due to us.  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Dithering Dave has made his mind up. He wants a referendum as soon as possible and for it to be a straight in / out vote.

http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/danielhannan/100183218/david-cameron-wants-a-straightforward-inout-referendum-as-soon-as-possible/

Only one minor problem. He was talking about Scotland.  :o :o :o :o :o
