Start an Audi forum?

I had to get rid of my miggy a while ago and now have an Audi 2.7T but the audi forums are totally rubbish - no one responds to posted questions and there's very little help on there. I reckon you guys should start an audi forum :y

Guy at work just got an 2012 A6, very, very nice. Great big centre screen, parking cameras showing where you go, lines change as you turn wheel showing direction! 2 SD card slots, all the toys, great dash too. Quite like the looks of the thing too, he got it with just 5,500 miles.

The cost? £26k  :o :o :o :o :o :o

Its nice, but not worth that, my Elite did not even cost 4 figures  ;D

You tightwad, Tunnie :D ;). I pushed the boat out and paid £1300 for my 53 plate MV6.......almost two years ago now. :y

Funny you should mention poor Audi forums.....another member on ehre got an A8 and had difficulty getting help on an issue he had.

In the end he brought it to me and we soon spotted a goosed track rod end.

Do be prepared to replace the full front end every 50K miles!

Another notch against A8 as replacement for Omega then, shame as I like the interior.  :(

Problem with all the Audi's, quite a complex front suspension setup which eats bushes (makes Omega wishbones look good).

Meyle do a HD kit for them......not cheap though!

Plus only the four wheel drive Audis actualy handle that well, the rest understeer like b-stards

brother in law ( ish - long story)  has one of those all road things.  more sluggish than my current mid and it is showing more wear.  Not impressed meself and will not be getting one

When Mrs TB's dad had an A4, I realised how poor the Audi forums all were.  It probably seems from the fact that few Audi owners are enthusiasts?

Silly old duffer has bought a Laguna now  ???

When working, its not a bad system.  But once worn, you are forever changing parts. Its made up of 8 arms/rods, most with bushes.

IME, the factory parts seem to last IRO 80k, cheapo "£100 for the set" ebay parts about 10k, Lemforder/Meyle about 15-20k, and Audi a bit more. No idea why only the original ones last any time.

Its a constant battle to stop them knocking.

I quite like the Aussie solution: 'If it's made of rubber, simply remove and replace with polyurathane' 8)

No nonsense solution that will outlast the rest of the car :y

The Audi solution already feels harsh. I wonder if polys would make it a bit too harsh...
