Pro-biotic drinks - a lot of money for pure sh*t
« on: 02 October 2012, 07:19:11 »

:D  ??? YUK...... I have just watched on TV how those so called Pro-biotic drinks like Yakult are made and to say the least it is disgusting.....
Guess from where they obtain the pro-biotic bacteria that they contain.........YUK....its from human Sh*te and I for one have no intention of eating my own Sh*te let alone anyone elses I have never even met!
You now might have an inkling of where you can shove the Pro-biotic drinks of whatever brand. >:( Why has it taken so long for the truth to be disclosed?

I don't think the process has ever been a secret TBH - but agree that it came as a bit of a shock when I discovered what you just did. A few years ago I was working on a project and there were some medical researchers next to us - this would have been soon after these things came out. After the initial "revulsion" they researched the process, confirmed themselves satisfied and became users. I don't dabble myself - but was actually quite impressed at the scrutiny these things received.

On the ships I used to work on many moons ago we had jobbie choppers in a tank that thrived on good bacteria and killed , as I'd we're, the bad stuff so that the water and such that went over the wall was a miniscule parts per million and far less than some of the 'fresh' water we took on in some places.

Wouldn't want to drink too much of it though!!   ;D

there are various kinds of bacteria in human body .. some of them are toxic, some are useless and some can protect you even from cancer and killing other toxic bacteria.. :)

There is quite an interesting programme on a Monday night on Ch4 around 8.30 about what goes into food or how it is made. Next week reveals the secreat of fish sticks........... UGHH.

Last night was beer and ingredients like seaweed extract or isinglass(made from fish swim bladders). Also covered was the difference between black olives and green olives. (didn'ty need explaining to me anbd is why Spaniards generally don't eat black olives!). It is probably a good thing that food is regulated.

A friend had a great saying when I was younger. If something is of indeterminate origin don't eat it. Fish sticks, beef burgers, meat pies and so on. Not bad advice. ;D ;D

Part of my medication is a medical grade probiotic powder.  I have no illusion where it came from but when you consider the faecal transplants have been very successful at managing crohn's and curing stubborn c'diff infections it is worth it.  Besides taking the stuff I do is the difference between living a semi-normal life and spending most of the day in bed with chronic fatigue.

So if yakult was made from anything else than human shit I'd be asking "Where the f*&% did they get it from?"  :y

You do realise the same or similar strain is used to make yoghurt, and in the production of cheese. There is a a lot of products on the market that use lactobacillus. Any cheese lovers here?

eat yoghurt as much as you can (unless your kidney makes stones).. it will protect whole of your gastrointestinal system..
I have watched the film of  a close relatives colonoscopy who consumes yoghurt everyday.. it was like brand new ;D
