Need a steering idler.
« on: 02 October 2012, 17:55:45 »

Visited Wim today. Tony himself was at the hawk eye.  :y

First glance at the figures. Nothing wrong with it.

It's tramlining says I.

Hmmm, says he. Told the story of fitting new tyres and it handling slightly worse. Examined some small print on the side walls and there it says, effectively, one less layer of (whatever it is they use) was used on the side wall construction. And there was a lot less toe than before.

An examination of the car revealed a bit of play in the idler, and when swinging on it, literally, It made the creaking noise I heard a while back. Arse!

What's the best sauce for steering idler? I seem to remember an eBay link, but which one...?

Ta.

Ps tram lining still there but it's much better with more toe... more positive feel generally.

Oh ok. Thanks Jimbob.

I see you've noted my hatred aversion to eBay, and supplied a suitable alternative.  ;D  :y

I've been down the chippy tonight. Thought I'd be adventurous, and have red.
