Visit too WIM
« on: 23 April 2008, 23:16:21 »

Visited Wheels In Motion today as i've noticed uneven wear on the front tyres and some odd handling recently.

Really impressed with the way that each adjustment was explained (in a way that I could understand!) and how the optimum setup is achieved.

Didn't drive too 'enthusiastically' on the way back as the boot was full of wheels, but could tell by the way the vehicle turned in to bends and through roundabouts that the front was definitely obeying the steering wheel a lot better than I'd ever been used too and not making me feel as though I need to add extra input as the bend finishes.

Have since been for a very brief drive with the car unloaded (and the Traction Control off  ::) ) and the difference at higher speeds around local fast, twisting roads is amazing... Shall we just say that I have a LOT more confidence from the feedback through the steering wheel now  :y.

As Tony suspected, the Wishbones need replacing as there is play in them, so I will be sourcing a set and getting Tony to fit them (I'm a lazy git and besides if WIM fit them I can get the Geo redone straight after).

I would whole heartedly recommend that anyone who is experiencing any geometry issues to book a Geo setup with WIM, it will definitely be worth your drive!

Full Geometry to WIM's spec (Settings that WIM have perfected that are variable to match the age of the car - not static with wide tolerances as published by the manufacturer) is £85 inc VAT for OOF members.
