wireless internet security
« on: 07 October 2012, 14:00:13 »

??? I keep getting letters from virgin media about the ammount of usage on my broadband account and they are now threatening to "manage" my account, with 4 kids in the house ,all with laptops, i can appreciate that we will be using a fair ammount of internet, however, i must admit our wireless network is unsecure (linksys wrt54) how do i secure this ? as a self confessed luddite, is there an easy way to secure the network? any help would be appreciated  :y

There is probably some sort of sortware to log/monitor downloads. :y

My provider lifts the limits on downloading, but enforces a peak rate from 4pm untill midnight, in that time I have a set ammount of usage (bandwidth to download with)  but midnight to 4pm I can max the service and down load anything I want.  ::)
