Project 1 Picture Gallery!!!
« on: 30 October 2006, 17:50:12 »

Well, as posted previously some good progress has been made on the project, so I'm now going to post up some of my pictures so far. Enjoy!

Pic 1: The project car

Pic 2: The Doner Shed, er, car

Pic 3:  The Damage done to the block of the original engine in the project car

Pic 4: The shot engine coming out of the project car:

Pic 5: The Donor car being butchered apart ready for pulling the engine block out...

Pic 6: The  engine coming out of the donor car!

Pic 7: The donor engine block ready to be lifted into the decent project car:

Pic 8: Mating with the gearbox, a barsteward of a job...

Pic 9: Donor engine block all cleaned up, with new head gasket in situ, ready for my nice head...

Pic 10: My cylinder head, I'm proud of this!

Pic 11: The neighbours must love me :D

Pic 12: This came flying out of the original engine when it seized!

More pictures to follow, and hopefully an update to say it's running sweetly next week!!

Cheers

Once it's done, I'm faced with the dilemma of whether to keep it or not!!

It's only a 2.0, yet it's mint, overhauled and low mileage...

Whereas my 2.5 V6 is getting tatty, (but we've only just done the timing belt on it)
