Thing is, to use an air gun, it needs a more powerful compressor than the cheap £50 ones :(

I got one of these from Aldi for £17.99. Wasn't expecting anything great, to my surprise it's been brilliant, once I'd worked out how to use it properly  :y

It doesn't if you use it in short bursts i.e it would remove wheel nuts ok. You couldn't spray with it or operate die grinders etc which use loads of air continuously.

Most small compressors have a 50litre (ish) tank so do have some reserve but, they cant replenish it quickly and hence the above limitation.

got one. But generally I tend to use my 2 ft breaker bar instead to undo the wheel bolts as it doesn't need 12V. Plus you have to wait 5-10 seconds for the impact wrench to spin up between each impact. Handy to have though ...

Its not the size of the tank its how quick it refills it.

Most tools of this type run at about 4-5 cfm ( cubic feet/ min) therefore you need an air compressor runing about 9cfm to comfortably cope.

It might have a 1ltr tank but it could still run the tool effectively it just means the pump will be running more often

How do i know this? We were going to run the joinery shop tools on air rather than electric but the size and cost of compressor made it difficult to justify.
