Plug Lead Caps
« on: 14 October 2012, 15:35:46 »

Replaced  cam cover and gaskets today and whilst generaly checking everything when refitting noticed the spark plug boots that fit onto several of the plug have  peices missing from the rubber ends. :-\

Is it possible to replace just the boot cap or is it new leads,as imagine the end is only designed to keep oil/water from getting onto the plug seating, not any form of insulation.

Interestingly original cam gaskets fitted 3 years ago/70k and they had gone really hard  :o although genuine gm fitted and breathers are clean as a whistle. ;D

Genuine have part number pressed into the half moon along with another set of numbers indicating left and right.
