I've managed to get my hands on the first 7 and the film and loved every minute of them.

As for the first one, I had real trouble getting into it at first but hung in there until the end.
The thing about 24 is, you have to really watch them in order or you will miss out on quite alot of the background  :-\

Try and borrow /hire it. I suspect you would enjoy it as you enjoy Homeland. Boxed sets with the lot in them go for £75 Buy it now, less on bidding. That gives you about 160 or so hours of edge of your seat viewing. Being locked in a technology time warp we have just bought series 7,8 and the feature film Redemption to watch in the dark winter months......... Going to buy that new James Bond Film Thunderball next.

Going to see if I can loan it first to see if it's my thing. If it's anything like Homeland I would image I will love it. :y
