Chrome as faster than IE and is now the most popular browser, so it makes sense to develop for this and then fix the IE incompatibilities.

Chrome is the most popular browser for a reason, I love it's synced bookmarks. Works with ease, any device, any OS, sync it up and it's all there.

The only reason Chrome is faster is because it comes with zero plugins, install the same plugins that you allow IE to use and Chrome will start to slow down as well.

If you do, remember to update it at least weekly, as security wise, it has more holes than John McClane's string vest. Not a week has gone by this year when a major, remotely exploitable flaw has been found, allowing the baddies to own your machine.

FF has better security than Chrome (ignoring last week's SNAFU), if you want to try an alternative.

Currently, for the most secure browser (based on in-the-wild exploits in the last year), IE wins hands down.

I do have a habit of damaging explorer frequently.. so firefox is my back up..unfortunately sometimes a proper repair requires full system rebuild >:(   friday night explorer was damaged so badly that even firefox refused to work.. I think tcp was totally donald.. because I was not able to ping even my router ;D   I guess the result to be expected as my explorer was repaired more than 10 times in last 3 months with most add ons disabled and re-installing bit torrent was the last nail on coffin.. :(

ps: so explaining my views about explorer wont be objective.. however, firefox mostly runs the pages better.. dont know why ;D
