That has yet to be determined.  Yours is quite a late model prefacelift, so may well have later software on...

I already have it on my 99 Elite. Nah nah na nah!!  ;) (Courtesy of Ellesmere Port) I never had a problem with the original software but the newer version is smoother.
Do you know what version they put on (or when they did it)?
It was a year or two back now so can't really remember but version 9 does seem to ring a bell.
Are your experiences with the software similar to mine above?

The car's a 99 and I think that like yours it had ver 5 on it previously.

Yes, Tech2 required, and flashable g/box ecu (ie 1998 MY onwards).

The gearchange is smoother and faster. There also appears to be less slip - its easier to get the TC light flashing in dry coming off the Milton Keynes roundabouts.  So, although I haven't timed it, I would guess there is a small improvement in acceleration.

If I'm honest, I struggle to understand how the software alone can make the amount of difference that I have experienced.

I had no problems with my autobox before, so never really bothered. Its only I was bored Sunday morning that I did it. Bloomin' glad I did now... :D
