Altogether now, " a bit of pain.........." ::) ;D
Damn right, Albs :y

Its only pain, it will go away. Might be the day I die, but it will go away.

if it starts to disturb your sleeps and/or your normal work  , it must be solved imo :-\

If its permanent you need to learn to live with it.Its as simple as that ime. Its easy to feel sorry for ourselves,but theres always someone worse off. If I start wallowing in self pity occassionally I think of those poor 18/19 year old kids who come back from our wars with arms & legs missing.Many of them seem to carry on with a very positive attitude,so theres not much excuse for the rest of us. ;)

get to the bottom of it and then worry or not  :y
Is it gay to say I lay awake thinking of it  :-[

Stop looking for sympathy and go find your man-up pills!

You're welcome  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I don't do sympathy ;), unless administered by a pretty woman ::)

Who's this girl sympathy, don't hold back, do tell us all.  ::)

Better to know as it will stop the worry and the sleepless nights and you can then begin a course of treatment to sort it out.

I wish you the best of luck on this and hope it all goes well, so you make a full recovery.  :y

As a friend of mine always used to say to me when I was ill. At least you are human, if you were a dog they would just put you down.  :P

If it proves to be bad news, I guess I have some potentially life changing decisions to make  :'(

Your job does not involve physical work any more, so that should not be affected?

Are you referring to car/bike work?  :-\

It is normal to lye awake at night thinking but don't let your mind run wild. Hopefully the scan will shed some more light on things. Just think of it as a tech 2 session. All the very best.

Yup, I agree, and I don't ever really feel sorry for myself/need sympathy*. A negative outlook is normally destructive.

* Manflu doesn't count. I always feel sorry for myself when suffering from this near fatal, regular infection ;D

I can not, for the life of me, understand why it's taken so long!

Forget the claims process, insurance and solicitors. Take your own welfare into your own hands and get it fixed ASAP.

Pain does go away. But with a spine issue, those days are very few and far between. It wares you down, tires you out, and there will be days when it gets on top of you.

Never under estimate the sensitivity of the nervous system, and the million and one symptoms, aparently unrelated, that will plague your life from now on, as the body compensates for restrictions in movement.

FFS get on with it! Seriously! The longer you leave it the harder it will be.

SWMBO has had a few MRI scans recently. You have a right to a copy of your scan (for which the hospital can charge a "reasonable" fee).

The going rate seems to be £25 per image. Kings College Hospital charged £50 for a CD with all the MRI images on it.
