Hard to believe but I now have another problem with my beloved omega. mot'd 2weeks ago and mechanic pointed out radiator had been repaired on right hand plastic section @ top. suprised me because although it wasnt new the vehicle still had some warranty left on it when I bought it so obviously a main dealer had done a botched repair to save money. lo and behold thursday night steam coming from under bonnet and on inspection water shooting out from the repair which was now a crack. Waiting to find out price from main dealer for a new one but a local scrapyard has one in for £30.00 but the cooling fan sensor is 2 pin wereas mine is 3 pin. will this radiator fit my car if i also replace sensor with a 3 pin and are the sensors same diameter etc. and interchangable. i do a 40 mile round trip to work every day so I am thinking is there a sealant which I could apply which would give me a temporary repair tillI get organised with a radiator. regards, keith.

I bought this item number 320755085439 from eBay a few months back for my 2.2.

Easy to fit, took only a couple of hours and works perfectly. Mine had a leak in the same place as yours, but hadn't been bodged. Rad came next day so you could have it Tuesday, better than a temporary sealant job.

I wouldn't bother with a second hand one considering you get 2 years warranty with this new one.

hi all received radiator on tuesday using  item number ref. philstewart but on arrival it had the wrong ref, number but seller assured me it was correct item. on unpacking the unit the sensor holes are on the left of radiator looking from front but on my radiator they are on right. there are bungs on right that comm out allowing the sensors to be installed but i have no way of sealing holes on other side. have i been sent the wrong unit or am i missing something. regards keith.

Pre-facelift auto cars had the auto-gearbox oil cooler in the end tank. Completely different size and type of fitting to the sensor though (difficult to know what you have in front of you without pictures )

When I had to replace the radiator in my manual pre-facelift I was sold a radiator for an auto. I didn't connect anything to the auto-gearbox cooler connections & it worked fine.

thanks for the reply. tested the radiator before installing and it worked fine.i think the other 2 connections were for an older type vehicle which didnt have a seperate auto fluid cooling radiator.took me nearly 3hours to install it but appears to be working fine. dont know how phil steward managed to fit his without disconnecting atf radiator because I couldnt get to the 2 bottom bolts so had to remove radiator connected to atf radiator before undoing them. regards, keith.

Yep you are correct the two "spare" connectors are for the cars without the separate ATF cooler.

It was a struggle to do without taking the ATF cooler off but with a lot of persuasion it moved far enough out of the way. If I were to do it again I would probably just remove it!
