One chap at work has one. Goes well enough... when it goes. Hope it lasts better than another mates '11 plate 2.0tdi 170 4x4 Superb. One owner from new with full Skoda history, just had to have a new head at 85k ::)

As we know with Omega's though, garages often mis-diagnose. Wonder if the problem was much more simple, although probably caused by their own long service schedule?

How do you double the value of a Skoda?

Nothing, just wait around for fifty years! See this!

First clean today, a full clay and a coat of wax. First time i've used this angelwax, its a local company to me. have to say 10/10, great to use and, well, the reflection shot speaks for its self!

Ive always liked skoda's  :-X , even the the old tub ones that had the engine in the boot . My mate use to take us to work in a rear engine one and it was errm different but fun  ;D Alas he never maintained it and blew the engine running it without water or any servicing . Rapide i think it was called .

Skoda Estelle  ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%A0koda_120 I think the Rapid was a trim variation

Not exactly "aptly named" either. My cousin has a kit car based on one. With practically all the bodywork removed it still doesn't set the world alight.

I wonder if it's a trait they continued with the "Superb".

Apparently not. The review I read a few months back said it was very aptly named. Couldn't fault it. Although I think a manufacturer who names a car like that is potentially setting themselves up for a fall later
