Apparently GM were threatening legal action if the site was left up for all to see, which is a shame as it was an excellent site for getting part numbers.  :(
Made life so much easier when you could be armed with the part number before ordering.  :y

Quite ironic really, as most of us probably used Opeloem site to order parts from GM:-\

What I meant ^^^^ was, a lot of us used Opeloem to look up part numbers and then went on to buy parts from GM dealer.  ::)

The same thing happened to the Toyota equivalent.. and the Nissan one.. and so on.

Short sightedness on the part of the manufacturers, perhaps, but it seems to be the way of things.

Ok speaking from the other side i'm suprised it took so long. The site was a rouge site that was never upto date

Ok i can see that is a good idea to be able to look the numbers up before going to a less dealer  dealer but what would happen if you looked up the number and either got it wrong or there info was out of date and you get the wrong parts, who are you going to swear at?

I never use a part number given to me by anyone, retail, trade, clubs etc unless i check it first.

Not having a dig at anyone just want people to see it from the other side of the fence, if your stuck for a number or having a problem id'ing something you can always PM me.

Cheers
Andy

Cheers for that Andy.  :y
I used to look up part numbers to make it easier for the Parts Counter to know what I was on about and to find it's true part name.
I can see where you are coming from though.  :y
