 :-\ Leicester area had a flurry of sleet at 03:30 this morning. No doubt as it arrives as full snow the usual winter tactics will begin with the same escapades as last year of the (many in Leicesteshire) leisure time posing 4x4 drivers who cannot drive their 'tanks' with any skill and will become the same old hazard to others who are trying to get to work on time without the luxury of 4x4. Funny how normal cars  manage and skate only a little (apart from the idiots showing off) when the 4x4 poser crowd hobble along at low speed and still manage to do waltz's in even a light covering. ;) You have to laugh.......or cry in frustration. A survey I read said that the majority of the 4x4 drivers chose their type of vehicle so they could feel safe in it........but what about when they cause hazards to the rest of the road users because they cannot judge the size, both length and width, of their 4x4 vehicles? Surely I am not the only one to have seen the antics of some of them trying to park? Lots in Disabled bay they are not qualified to?  Why, because they are a lot wider? Even then some even misjudge that and end up over the lines! I won't go into the doors of them being slammed into the car next to them because they are higher than the normal door protector rubbing strips. They even then look at what they have damaged as if it was the fault of the other car for daring to be a normal size!!!!!!!!!  ;)Sorry....but must admit that if I see it I give payback every time to even the 'playing field'. Could it be time for the government to bring in a compulsory driving test for the larger ones, perhaps going by ride height and weight, with a very difficult compulsory off road section so we can be rid of those who are clearly incapable of driving them with care and whose only reason was to 'pose' or be 'better than the 'Jones's'? Lets be serious because it is a rapidly growing serious concern.
No doubt that gritters will be yet again a rare sight too this winter.  ;D At least Santa will like it  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The vans only a 12 foot tourer so that the only place there is  ;D
He sleeps on a double airbed which sits on a old palet so its not in contact with the ground.
Next its a winter quilt then the sleeping bag so he will probably be warmer then me and the missus / dog  ;D

Its either that or the shed because there is no way i'm leaving a hormonal 17 year old in the house on his own, he will be organiseing a bloody street party and i'll have no house left  :D ;D ;D

 :y ::) Take it you don't cuddle the missus then  ;) ;D
Can't blame you for the sentiment of taking him with you though cos you would more than likely come back to chaos.........and no food or beer, but with a sink full of used crocks for you to keep your hand in :D
Believe it or not you can actually buy electrically heated sleeping bags now........ ::) so much for roughing it :D ;D ;D ;D
Happy camping............. :y

No, the last thing we need or want is more state regulation and control. Or people asking for it.
