the wife loves any john wayne film. i got her the whole dvd box collection, shes not watched any of them, WHY ? if its on telly she watches  but not on dvd ,  daft or what

The more I think the more films qualify as "top films" I couldn't choose 1 favourite, but I do remember walking out of the cinema shell-shocked after The Pianist. So, so much better handling of getting the horrors of the holocaust accross than Schindler's List IMHO

It is daft but i'm the same as your better half. Watch said film on the telly but the dvd/vid gathers dust. :-[

That happens to me also, not just films but some series as well. :-[

'On Goldon Pond' with Henry & Jane Fonda along with Kathrine Hepburn;  a classic mix of drama >:(, comedy ;D, tragedy :'(, and love :-* a plenty. Absolutely a beautiful film. :) :) :) :)
