seems like the cam cover gaskets have blown,    oily smell when hot,   rough running at start up, caused EML to trigger tonight,.(so oil in plug wells at a guess....   ),

all kicked off on thursday after i arrived on site in harpenden (herts)   but i've ben on site for 3 days with no internet  other than 3G on the phone.

needs a full service anyway,   i've just not had time with house move and a lot of work on ...

I have to go to North Wales later in the week for a friends funeral on friday, and i'm working in Harpenden on Monday.   not ideal driving that far in current state . so if anyone of the mechanically able have the ability to help out (clearly in return for a fair days pay) i'd be , as usual, enormously grateful.

Hi Max, I am on rest days Weds and Thurs this week. I have got my MOT on Weds, but there's a good chance I could squeeze in some cam gaskets and a service, given you're not a million miles away.. :)

That would be amazing.......       if i transfer you some funds can you get the bits?  I'm absolutely rammed to the wall with work that HAS to be finished before wednesday, and then off to wales on thursday afternoon all being well,    an old friends and work colleague died on wednesday night,  and his funeral is friday....

PM enroute

You say BEFORE Weds? I am at work until Tues afternoon, and then my MOT is Weds Lunchtime. I could do Weds afternoon into evening, but we would need lighting and maybe shelter........ do you still have a garage? (If so we're laughing).

Ref bits, given the hurryup, I reckon Andyc will be our knight in shining armour.... :y

Seen your PM mate - and replied with my ideas of a plan.

We can have a chat on the phone in the morning if needsbe... need to hit the sack myself shortly.

I'm sure we'll get you sorted, you're not a million miles from me :y :y
