I'm not the one to really answer, but its no harder than 4 pot. V6 system tends to be a little more fussy due to extra power.

Tank mounting & pipework is very straight forward, get one of the tallented folks here to drill and tap the injectors, Kevin Wood, ChrisGixer, for example.

Its wiring it all in which can be complicated, but if you have someone who knows what they are doing, its a doddle for them. Donate to their local beer charity   

I got couple of experts up, beer + curry on me, I knew the job would be done right and worth spending the money.

They are dull & boring to me with the usual harsh FWD ride, but each to their own 

TBH Tunster, i'm just throwing some ideas about. interior looks a bit sparce compared to the mig but looking at reliabilty and economy to be bettered than the mig. although i genuinely love her with all my heart 

Is fuel costs the main issue? If so LPG is the route to go, as said before with my 2.2, i get the equivalent of 55mpg. I actually get around 27mpg on gas, but its half the cost to fill up 

Conversion costs around £600 ish, consider it paid back in under 10k miles.

What a lot of people don't realise is just how long it takes to pay back the extra you pay for a diesel, you have to do a considerable mileage to pay back just £1k

yes. to be honest. stupily ive never considered this.... but i have seen a lot of threads ''lpg gone wrong'' 

If done right, it will be faultless. Mine was done with help of the forum at 135k, now 157k its not missed a beat. Faultless on LPG, my system is on limit of engine power so 5k rpm+ it can struggle, but it rarely goes above 4k rpm. So its not an issue for me

Not really, space is abit tighter perhaps, but plenty of people running converted V6s

You won't find the economy with a petrol turbo auto Webby,the oil burning Passat's however are very good on fuel

yep.. personally I wouldnt buy a turbo old car.. as most oil lines to turbo will already filled with crap.. 
 
not easy to clean those lines and new turbos cost £££ everytime..

out of pure interest could you not simply block off a turbo and run it as a standard 1.8?
