Crank sensor air gap

Hi guys any one know what the airgap should be ? cant find any info any where on it 98 3.0l elite cheers andy.

I'm curious as to how you intend measuring it.
Plus, it's not adjustable so why would you bother?

Plus, it's not adjustable so why would you bother?

+1 if its seated correctly on its O ring it can't be wrong

I keep getting fault code 19 and car keeps cutting out only thing I have not yet checked for this Is the air gap if air gap is ok only thing I'm left with is faulty ecu.

Fit a new one from GM & see if that sorts it  ;)

Have done and took it back under warranty and fitted a 2nd one still the same.

Both bosch ones and the original that came off was a bosch.

Have you got the facility to clear out the 19? Doesn't happen often, but I have seen that code get stuck.

Yea got "My Naff Code Reader" and access to a snapon scanner, eml never comes on just cuts out then when checked code 19 is in there.

Only other thing is damage to the reluctor  :-\

Motronic 2.8.x ECUs are virtually bulletproof.  Check the connectors near battery tray, anf into ecu I suppose  :-\

Had a borescope in the crank sensor hole while turning engine over by hand reluctor looks all ok that's why I was wondering about the air gap just incase the sensor had been manufactured incorrectly.
