Stereo Code
« on: 09 November 2012, 11:38:05 »

Hiya fellas,

Looking at a couple of migs to replace mine which failed the MOT miserably the other day. One of the cars has "safe" on the MID and the seller doesn't have the stereo code. Can anyone advise a way around it or does it have to be sorted by a stealer. If its stealer only, does anyone have an idea of cost?

Any advice appreciated fellas  :y

Cheers

What model stereo are we talking about my friend?

Alternatively, have a look on my website and see if you can find it

Great help from you on here, Dave. I have a strange problem with my radio, in that I tried to remove it but could only get it out about 2/3 of the way. Something seemed to be holding it back - the leads? So, after repeated unsuccessful attempts to get it out, I tried to put it back in. It wouldn't go! It goes back to within about an inch or so of fully in, but no further. Surely this should be a simple job? Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated, thanks.

All the connectors are captive on the cage with the factory fit head units, so they will come away as soon as the head unit moves. I guess the cage is just distorted or tight.
