Obsessive tendancies
« on: 25 April 2008, 12:55:38 »

Does anyone have habits which are getting obsessive.

Sockets must be turned off if no plug in them

Packet tablets must be pushed in a symetrical pattern

All biscuits must be ate in pairs

Anyone else have anything similar?

 ;D You`ve got it bad Martin!  ;D

;) A University of Notts. psychology research group recently advertised for participants in a study of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

They were looking for therapy clients who had been diagnosed with this condition.

The response was gratifying; they got 3,879 responses within just one hour after the ad came out.

All from the same person!.  ;D

Mrs. KW is terrible. We have a couple of 2 way lighting circuits in the house (switch in hallway and landing controlling the same bulb, etc.)

If she notices the upstairs switch has been used, so the downstairs one is in the opposite state when the light is "off" she has to go upstairs and use the other switch to restore balance, thus completely defeating the object of the system. I keep meaning to swap over the poles on some of the switches to confuse things further... [smiley=evil.gif]

Me.. Other than collecting junk, no..

not sure i'd go so far as to call it obsessive, but i also need plug sockets to be off if nothing's connected, and i hate it if the bezel on my watch isnt at 12, and my girlfriend likes to play on that!!

I have a bad memory though, which means i have to follow a lot of routines which therefore seem obsessive

When filling up with petrol, it has to be rounded up (normally to the nearest fiver)

Last night I filled up, and paid by card (i normally just pay cash). Anyway, the pump kept cutting out (due to tank been full), and it was on £56.53... I couldn’t leave it at that.. so I rounded it up to £56.75... I wanted to round it off at £57.00 really, but thought that there wasn’t enough room left in the tank for it! (I’ve tried that before, and it overflowed a tiny bit)

Know idea why I even needed to round it up!

With cash its quicker if its a whole number as you don’t have to faf about with change, but on card?? god knows!  :o ;D

When filling up with petrol always have to round up to nearest ten, i.e. £33.10, £33.20 etc.
