Hi All,   was just wondering if anyone knew anything about Dishwashers?  Namely a Hoover HND 625, to cut a long story short the water to the machine was turned off before the machine started on its timed start.
It lights up as normal but refuses to do anything.   Any help appreciated as this is for my local sea cadet group who cant really afford a new one at the moment and are hoping for an easy fix     Thanks in advance.

We had trouble with ours last month. Local guy wanted £50 quid just to look at it so I got in touch with a company online.
" repaircair "  they're called. They give you a quote online after you tell them the make and model. The price they quote is the price you pay, that covers parts and labour, guarantee the lot. You pay by card over the phone.
If they can't fix it, which they say rarely happens, they charge £45 and refund the rest.
They came when they said they would, the guy was really helpful, sorted the machine and turned up a week later with a free basket as he said he noticed ours wasn't the best.
I will certainly use them again. Hope this helps

Not much i'm afraid, but I DO know Jack Russells are crap at cleaning dishes so avoid one of these!

Presumably the water is now back on.

Most electronic ones have a reset procedure (see the troubleshooting section of manual), older ones don't.


The 2 things that immediately spring to mind if it isn't just needing reset, not getting water in (airlock, given sequence of events), or door switch.

Thanks for the replys     The water is back on, it was turned off to stop any leaks etc when the building was empty, They noticed it didnt work and it has been left unplugged ever since. ( months )
I thought there may be a reset procedure but believe it or not they cannot find the manual

If its not really old, should find one online (and for free!!)

Sea Cadets Hey?    I wouldn't worry as it sounds like you have a bunch of little dishwashers on your hands!!

I recall some of them have some weird anti leak think on the inlet hose - sort of a plastic box near the tap - sounds like it could be that.

Thanks again for the replys  , I am struggling trying to find anything free online. Help on this would be appreciated. Surely someone must do free manuals?
 I read somewhere that the pump maybe empty and by putting a few cups of water in the bottom may solve it, but as you can probably guess it didnt

Sea Cadets Hey?    I wouldn't worry as it sounds like you have a bunch of little dishwashers on your hands!! 

What do you think is happening at the minute  . So there is not only myself who will be happy if we can get this resolved.
