Gaza conflict
« on: 16 November 2012, 10:49:43 »

Excuse me for being nieve, but...
If you fire rockets at another country, should you not expect a return of fire !!!!!
I notice that there is emphasis on the two palestinian civilians killed, but no mention of the three Israeli civilians killed. Maybe the Israeli armed forces go over the top, but I think I would, if someone kept winging rockets at me.
I am not going to get embroiled in the rights and wrongs of the middle east situation, thats how it is set up.

This can be linked of course to another discussion going on in another thread about immigration, religion, and British survival, which is how this thread has gone!

This new, or rather extension of a rather long feud, between Israel and their Arab neighbours is yet another example of what can happen in the politics of man with his fear of religion and lack of tolerance.

I will ONLY make that point, as this is, as far as I am personally concerned, a far too delicate situation, with very strong views from all sides, for this to be objectionally discussed on a car forum.  I have made that mistake before!! ::) ::) ::)

I just will prey for some kind of resolution quickly before the tinderbox, which is the Middle East, explodes fully into a wider, very destructive, war. :'( :'( :'( :'( :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X

Did not start this post as an extension of the other thread. ;)
It was purely as an observation as to general reporting by the media :y
I don't give a toss about the why's and wherefore's of the conflict.....just on how it seemed onesided reporting from all media !!!!!!!

As I previously stated, they are both as bad as each other !!!!!!

Nope ... it will allow you to see the producers point of view, and nothing else.

As in all "documentaries" it gives a one sided view, if you wish to believe it .. fine .. but there is always more then one point of view, sometimes there are several ... but of course ..... it takes an effort to track down, analyse, and think about a problem.... far easier to let someone else decide for you ........  :(  and then declare it the universal truth .. :(

Thanks all the same ,mate, I won't be watching....I don't care one iota about who started it or how long its been going on for :y
I was observing that, on all the bulletins I have seen, the scrolling across the bottom always says 'two palestine civilians dead' no mention of Israeli dead.
In my book....one sided.

RIGHT ON BROTHER  :y :y :y

If you look at it closely in the modern world, (screw history), then Iran is up to it's tricks. Look at this logically in todays world, Israel is about to bomb the nuclear plants in Iran with the wests backing. So iran needs to deflect this,  so it arms the Palestinians with the conivence of the new powers in Egypt to attack Israel.
Arab spring my arse, how wrong can the western powers be, better a compliant dictator than a fanatical muslim government. :(

This can only end in disaster, the only solution is to nuke Iran now and the rest might get the message :y
