Deleted, as I I bet it was an attempt to get around our rules regarding for sale threads.

Oh right, no attempt to get around anything if I'm honest, I was just looking at getting an honest value, who better than omega enthusiasts? I was and still am going to eBay it and maybe also use piston heads. Sorry if it was thought of that way.

needing 250 posts before you can list an Omega item for sale here is a bit OTT IMHO.

In fact it sort of encourages pointless posts, or one post split over two ;)

But the rules have been put in place to try and offer some protection from rogue traders who sign up just to sell and some of which have, historically, not delivered the goods and run away with the money!

Besides, it's a free forum and not a sales site... There are plenty of those about :y

It's been put like that due to people just joining to sell & make money. That's not what OOF is for ;)

People also have sent money in good faith, but never received items.

It's there to protect members, if people get involved 250 posts is nothing :)

I agree with the principle its just that 250 posts is a lot.  I have only managed 60 in 6 months and I feel I am quite active.  I would think 50 or 100 at most would be a sensible limit to stop one-off sellers.  After all who is going to send out 50 posts just to sell something when they can go to ebay and get more money for it.

And don't forget that would be 50 proper posts they cannot just send in 50 'hellos' and get away with it.  Can they?

And that makes 63 for me. :y

You'll be surprised how easy it is to get to 250 posts ;)

On one of my (all too frequent >:() cullings of post count I've managed to get back to 250 within a week/10 days just by joining in the discussions and having a laugh :y :y

You'd be surprised. Its happened more than once, as it was once 50 posts.

Pointless posts often get deleted ;)

Yup, deleted.

For a value, I'd recommend Glasses or similar, or spend a week watching what others go for
