I think Tunnies about right ... I do know that once logged on to start the procedure the system won't let the examiner log of until after a preset time ... I've had several cuppa's with the examiner while he awaits the computer to say "yup" .. :)

Time for quite a few cups of tea if you take a Westfield. Actual test done in about 15 mins on a good day*.

When the cr@ppy siemens 486 DVLA standard issue computer with modem (remember them?) can actually establish a connection. ::)

Best place in mho for MOT's is your local Authority Testing Station, they have no hidden agenda to make more money out of you.  :y

+1

They do charge full price though, no discounts there. But then again no incentive to drum up business.

Link below to find local test centre.

Although it's not a local authority test stn, I've used the same place for the past 15 yrs +. They don't do repairs, so, as above, have no financial interest in failing your car. Garic if anyone lives anywhere near it.  :y

I have a feeling it's an hour including doing the paperwork side.
I'm sure my tester has to log in and log out on the computer and if he does too many too quickly it flags up at VOSA and he gets a visit.
