Bored yesterday, I decided to see if I could remember all the cars I have owned over the years. Ive been driving for 22 years (not in one go before anyone gets smart and have owned 31 cars in that time. Its a real mixed bunch including a Morris Ital, Grand Voyager, Merc C240 Sport, Volvo 850R and 4 Omegas. Ive had a couple of new and nearly new cars along the way but now prefer 'disposable' cars - pay less than a grand for something decent with tax and ticket, run it until it goes pop and then look for something else. I'm not a 'plate snob' so having an old car doesnt bother me - currently have a 97 Omega Elite Estate that looks and goes better than a lot of cars half its age.

Anyway, 22 years, 31 cars thats a change of car on average every 8 months for 22 years... haha!! If anyone else gets as bored, I would be interested to hear how that compares....!

Ok, been driving for 19 years... For 12 of these I had company cars/vans, so no need to have my own car, although I've always had 1 or 2 projects on the go...

So that leaves 7 years of actually needing a car...  Just had a quick tally up, and I've owned 52 cars... 

That works out at an average of 6 weeks for each car!!

Been driving 46 years, first 2 years with motorbikes and then on to cars.  Far too many to remember, but many of the earlier ones were bought for £15 on average to give some idea of the total wrecks I drove, especially as a student.
