human rights.
« on: 22 November 2012, 23:37:43 »

How can someone who has taken away someone elses human right to.. whatever it may be, have rights while serving time for that offence?

Where does it end? You have locked me up which violates my freedom because i believe i can do what i like.

A simplistic view probably to some of the intelects on here, but im sure you see where im going.

Yep agreed if you are locked up for "being naughty" you forfeit any human rights you had

Human rights surely must cover a great deal of ideals......i agree that if you are locked up for a crime that you should not be allowed to have freedom to...vote....do the lottery....gamble...have t,v in your cell and nice red curtains and all the rest of the rubbish that goes with it......they have the right to be treated in a fair and humane way and not  be abused they should be fed and watered and made to earn a living while in there....but all the rest of the enjoyments that we law abiding folk  have and deserve to enjoy should be taken away..

So no human rights in clink?

No lights? No bed? No blanket? Heat?

As always, such defined boundarys are too rigid IMO.

It's not the dark ages, but on the other hand, can't see how a vote is relevant to a prisoner.

Agreed again, they should be made to build more prisons and live in tents until the work is completed :y

When in prison part of the punishment is to deprive them of a family life, rightly so. On the other hand we can't kick out the scum that come to this country because to deprive them of a family life is against their human rights >:( >:(

Before long the bloody liberal do gooders will say that locking people up is against their human rights ::) ::)
