Though I had sorted this but cold cabin back, tempp shows between 80-90 nice and steady,  I assumer my sequence will be crawl underneath and disconnect HBV plug pipe and see result. Reason for doing it underneath is 2.0L with LPG and it is a maze of pipes.

No joy there then have to assume blocked matrix, which if it is will be fun as per above.

Have done the reset and at best it is tepid.

It may help, did you sort it and now the same problem has reoccurred?

it always has been blasting hot air, then it seemed to stop suddenly, thought I had an air lock and had got rid but today proved me wrong

I expect you've sorted this now given the outside temperatures? I had 'cabin heat failure' this year and know it is frustrating. Coolant system flushing and then running with with detergent in the coolant system did resolve this for me without the need to change HBV. The system was blocked/clogged in my case. Just worth saying, we have different engines and my residue was due to oil cooler failure (and clearing out 'sludge'). If your system is blocked/clogged , would it be worth flushing etc before spending etc?

Still not sorted 100% as in another post I have founf my HBV is not there only a T piece added in.  Heat was 100% till a few weeks ago, have turned fans right down and now it is nice and warm but it had not found the problem.  Today while drive heard a plastic sort of clicking and then heat was there.  James (glos) is looking at it  Sunday.

if the hbv has been removed then that will affect the performance of the heater big time, as you say it was ok a few weeks back but now the outside temp has fallen through the floor it will not be able to cope. Replace the hbv and its vac connection and you should see the heater improve. the HBV was most likley removed because it was leaking and the last owner too tight to replace.

Just for future reference, thought I'd update this one with the conclusion:)

A genuine, non leaking HBV was fitted. Just very well hidden under a mass of LPG hoses/pipes/connectors/wires.

One fault was found - rad switch running fans at full chat when cold.. but this wasn't the source of no heat in the cabin.

After swearing at the martix hose clips a bit, and bodging making something to connect between my hose pipe and the matrix, it's now been reverse flushed, flushed, and vice versa...

The cabin is now like a sweat box

All I can say is James is a star and he is right about the HBV it is better camoflauged than a tank on Salisbury Plain.  Good result all round, thanks James.
