Agreed. We're very lucky on OOF* that there's enough support to do the job yourself, or members who'll do it for you. Don't waste your cash, find a local. You'll have enough left over to buy bacon and buns also...

 *which is fairly unique, that the number of keyboard warriors is much lower than on other single-marque forums.

I usualy charge about forty pounds for cambelt and water pump labour only.

Thats quite a bit seeing as you probably do it in 20 minutes :D :D ;D

Is that really a lot?
Remove the VAT and it's £200.
Cost of the parts at retail prices? 6 plugs at £3.5 each and £70ish for the gaskets leaves £109
That would leave 2 hours at £54 an hour which doesn't seem too bad to me.

Luckily enough mine don't leak, but I'm surprised by the cost of the gaskets rather than the cost of changing them. Especially when aftermarket gaskets are much more sensibly priced.

I know the consensus here is OE only, but there are thousands of these engines about, and they can't all leak!
