pfl MV6 wheels on fl - opinions
« on: 27 November 2012, 14:14:13 »

So, what is the general opinion about the looks of putting the 'original' MV6 diamond cut alloy on a facelift omega?

My thinking is that the earlier Irmscher alloys have the best offset of any genuine GM 17 inch wheel for an Omega (ET33 i believe, rather than the later ET37) so fills the arches better and should help cornering??

Specificaly I would be thinking of a refurb to smoke-chrome / anthracite and putting on a black car.

Regards.

Having seen ETA's car with them in the flesh I really like it :y :y

Just a shame those wheels are softer than butter ::)

they are a very nice wheel, but as LD says they are rather soft. i have a set on the lpg estate & 3 spares, as one is rather bent so to speak.  ;)

Problem is with Pre-facelift MV6 alloys, is they are about as hard as a donut. They easily buckle...

Neither desirable!!

Had mine done a few years ago in Tonbrige.Kent,by a place called spit,n,polish. From memory £65 each.

They made a very good job of them and have been on the car for over 100k although 1 did get slightly distorted and had it reshaped by Lepsoms.

I take them off around late November and replace with the original Softstars with Conti 830,s and swop back mid March. If you are carefull how you drive they are fine, but agree they need care with potholes etc.
