I cant see 3D video/images on my TV (Advice/Help)
« on: 27 November 2012, 19:26:36 »

As most of you already know i'm after a TV, Well i received the LG LM620T 32" Smart Passive 3D TV today and over all it ain't a bad TV at all but i'm confused about the 3D side of the TV, Firstly i tried on several TV channels trying to convert 2D to 3D option and no luck all i see is a slightly less clear picture of the standard 2D TV picture no popping out jumping out pictures......

Then i hooked up my PS3 though a 3D compatible HDMi cable to the TV and put in a 3D BluRay disc film
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0064YOWCI/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00  Underworld: Awakening (Blu-ray 3D + Blu-ray)
And its the same story here picture is slightly blurry over standard 2D and the picture is very blurry on 3D mode without the glasses so i presume its working...

I have been reading and apparently 1-10 cant see 3D images on Tv/Cinema its called Stereo Blindness if i'm correct i may have this problem... I will definitely be sending back the TV but  is there any point trying a Active 3D TV i wonder or is there little difference from Passive..

This has got me worried in a health way and annoying for not being able to watch 3D...  :-\

It was a BluRay 3D Disc.. It went onto 3D automatically (Picture went blurry without glasses) but i did try manually and changed depth etc.. was the same outcome  :-\

When converting 2d pictures to 3d you never get the popping out sort of picture, it just seems to give the picture more depth, like the screen has disappeared and you put your hand through it

I had a passive 3d tv and not all 3d sources worked on it so I got a active 3d tv instead, I find it much better

I can understand that to be a possibility with 2D to 3D conversion.. But surely the 3D BluRay should have been ? Also forgot to mention i tried a 3D Compatible game and its the same story there also.. :(

When in 3D the picture should look very blurry/fuzzy without glasses

very wize my friend .... Although HD and SmartTV are working wonderful  :y

Will be going in a few days to test some more 3D tv's out to make sure it ain't my eyes playing up don't really care about the 3D anymore just want to rule out my eyes.. No point really keeping this TV even though its got a good picture/interface it even has a free iPhone app remote/mouse and controls the ps3 bluray/DVD player even turns the ps3 on and off , but 3D has added more a less £100 onto the price rather than one without 3D...

Why don't you nip down to your nearest Currys or Richer Sounds and ask to try a few?

Haven't had a chance yet to see some more TVs, Most likely will go this Sunday..

I was watching something on Netflix last night and a BluRay (both in 2D) and have noticed bad juddering affect when something big and close moving across the screen, in this case it was a ship and the jerky juddering picture was unmatchable at some points.. Maybe this has something to do with the 3D not working..

Good choice ! Most of this stuff is just drummed up by manufacturers to get people to dump perfectly good old sets and buy new ones. My 37" Toshiba is a few years old now, and yes HD is better but not remarkably so, I don't find myself yearning for HD on a non HD programme. I'm sure that there will be nerds who disgree, but . . . .
