174 piece toolkit
« on: 29 November 2012, 22:04:53 »

in Costco today, looks like this one. I have never heard of them myself, but it did say on the box that it was made in the USA.

For Omegas, I think you are better off with the Halfords 150pc set, currently on offer at £99

Pretty well regarded brand in the states! I have a costco crescent kit which has lasted years, despite the abuse I have given it!

The Crescent set seems OK, and quite good value for the money, but certainly not up to the quality of the Pro ranges from most tool sellers.

Havent seen the crescent set for a while now. This set is only £80 in Costco. Seems like good value and a lifetime warranty. And not made in China.

And the warranty is with which agent in the UK?  Costco are really good with waeeanty, but only in the 12 month period.

Thus I suspect the lifetime warranty is fairly worthless.

I've got the Crescent one from Costco, pleased with it so far, but as TB says the lifetime warranty is probably worthless.
