The milk of human kindness
« on: 03 December 2012, 20:07:11 »

The local Round Table/whatever/charity with the Xmas float has just been round. And got the expected response from me.

Its the fekking 3rd of December FFS, and a bit late for the little ones who would like it. WTF are these effing useless retards thinking, blaring out their crap at full volume, and trying to wear out my doorbell  >:(.

I fekking hate Christmas  >:(

I wouldn't be so grumpy if it was the week leading up to Christmas. But the fekking 3rd!!!  >:(

I think I hate (most) charities more than I hate Christmas  >:(

Our local Lions run the "sleigh" at Xmas, and I believe their policy is to stop at 20:30 as that is "late enough", they start about 17:30 .. so just 3 hours a night, and a LOT of streets to cover, as many people actually LIKE what they do, and they raise a lot of money for LOCAL charities in a polite and seasonal manner.

They don't start until Dec 1st yet half the stores/restaurants/houses around here ahve had the decorations up a month !!!

So give these volunteers a break, they at least are out doing something GOOD .. :)

Happy Christmas .. :)

They had the standard response for bloodsuckers banging on the door. Sadly, they lacked the intelligence to heed, and tried to wear out the doorbell.

;D everything that needs doing, making, producing, growing, slaughtering, giving, etc etc can't be done in the last week of Xmas. There isn't time. Miserable bugger. ;D

However, I hate being disturbed of an evening. Especially by door to door types, charity's, god botherers and don't get me started on salesman.
".... I'm from blah, can I interest you in blah, it's..."
"can I just stop you there for one second?"
"silence"

.....and close door. :)

I was slightly misled by the title, in which it implies that something good had happened. How careless of me.  ;D ;D

I suppose the fact they've been around will be the green light for all the little bastards who can't sing to be giving some unrecognisable rendition of a hymn, and wanting money, to bang on the door.

A couple of years ago, some (teenager) idiots weren't singing, but had a boombox with the Kings College Choir....

I think I'm about to p%"$s myself    ;D    ;D     ;D

But seriously, I've pretty much completely stopped giving, just sheer charity appeal overload.
