Shall I break my MV6?
« on: 04 December 2012, 14:45:32 »

I have a lovely 2002 MV6 3.2 which is an absolutely brilliant car

Full MOT, lots of tax, sequential LPG.

I put it on an aution website with a reserve of £800. The bidding ended at £650.

Are these things really worth sooo little?

What are the parts worth on these things - enough to make breaking it worthwhile? I suspect it would be worthwhile, once the tax has been claimed back....

Sadly it does make financial sense. Wheels, assuming good, non-Chinese tyres, £200 a set easy. £100 for immaculate interior... etc, etc

Appreciate what you say, but not an option I'm afraid. New, low mileage replacement is here, can't afford to have two on the drive space wise, as the Mrs passed her test and is getting a new car this weekend too...

It has to be gone... soon ish, even if I have to take a hit.
