Why are so many against Google Chrome?

You are all worrying me now, although I have never encountered a problem and find it very quick and realiable :o :o :o :o :o
Its desperately insecure. Look at how many critical (ie, remotely exploitable without authentication) flaws are announced on a weekly basis.

IE is streets ahead of both Chrome and FF when it comes to security, as MS have been through all that shite back in the 90's and early 00's

True but IE can be very unstable plus useful add-on scripts make it run horrendously slow....  I can understand why people turn their backs on it :y
Plugins and ruin the speed/reliability/security of any browser.  Allowing 3rd party addins running in the same security context as the main app always has the ability to ruin the main app.

Treu and that is acceptable up to a point.  The Java/IE experience is horrendous right now but SWMBO needs java for work.

Indeed Guffer, that has been my experience and that is why I use Google Chrome.  But now I hear what others are warning about, and now I am worried! :o :o :o :o :o :o

You should be Lizzie - Chrome is very insecure - my advice is to go IE, and if that feels slow, go for Firefox.  I have bith IE & FF on my systems and tend to use FF mainly - HTH :y

If IE is slow, uninstall or disable non required plugins and toolbars.

Oh, and run an AV and anti malware scan

Don't disagree TB, but in my experience FF is generally faster than IE ;)
