Non of you lot have been to Sunderland then? The biggest crap hole on the planet.

You mean Pennyhell! Most of it's gone now, mainly due to having 20,000 gallons of water dumped on their roove's! I'm sure we were at the one in your picture when it was that ones turn!

Tell you what though, there's not many places (in the UK) I'd rather be, assuming I wasn't rich!

Not one mention of Hartlepool (until now!) ::)
I knew this place had 'Character' ;D

Well, we have had Middlesbrough and Stockton, I will throw in Billingham, where I am now based with work, and that leaves Hartlepool Next...... :P :P :P

I very rarely go to cities as I don't like crowds. I don't know if it is a city but I went to Newquay about 10 years ago just for the day and I have never seen a more filthy place in my life. We drove in and kept driving did not even stop it was so bad. That was at 11am so gawd knows what it is like at 11pm.

Much the same sadly, many years ago it was a lovely place to visit ???

Blaenau Ffestiniog,    actually,   is even grimmer than Rhyl.....

Wettest place in Wales   7 years out of 10

Greyest place in Wales    8 years out of ten

Highest Suicide rate in wales    7 years out of ten

chance of all 3 together?

70%

mind you,  the new leisure centre ought to fix that.....

or that's what i thought,  until i discovered it was 2 goats tied to a lamp post.

thank god i only had to work there,  not live there.....

Jesus, them 2 bring back memory's   ;D
18 years ago, me and our lasses first weekend away without the lad.
In the days when wearing them stupid hats was all the craze.
We ended up with 2 (one each) saying "only a bastard like me could love a bitch like her" and the missus had the other one  :-[
Ended up getting in a rook with a couple of locals in the manchester who got rather lairy with the missus  ::)
Ended badly for one of them so we legged it out the door before the bouncers and his mates could get across the bar too us.  Not like we was hard to spot with those hats on  :-[ ;D ;D

Ended up in the palace.
Now I don't / can't dance in any shape of form but I was in a foregn town and we where hammered so there I was, giving it max when I heard a voice, turned round and there was about 10 of my old 2 squadron mates on a stag weekend................. the rest is not for this forum but it brought back some memorys and we all would have ended up in the cells if it happened nowdays  :-X :-X :-X ;D

Needless to say, I still get the odd bollocking off the missus when she remembers  ;D ;D

That reminds me of another Le Mans tale. Stumbled into an Aston owner's club Vs. Jaguar owner's club food fight in the restaurant on the ferry. Apparently it was the Aston club who started dunking their bread rolls in red wine before chucking them. just not cricket!

I bet a few tweed jackets were heading to the cleaners the following week. ;D
