ccrt2008 compatible screens?
« on: 16 December 2012, 19:33:58 »

Hey folks new to site looking for info on the ccrt2008. I currently drive a signum and the ccrt was a rare option found in these but they were more common for the omega. The stereo i have just now is ccr2006 mfd which i dont think is compatible with stereo. Reason i want to install is obviously upgrade but stereo i got is pretty new. I believe itis meant to be brand new. Its pretty mint. Stereo does work but i have no info and a constant beep cause it is not mated to car. If i cant find a compatible screen for it to fit my signum i will just bite the bullet and part with it.
I know i dont drive an omega. But have had one and i still drive a vauxhall that should count.
Let me know what screen i should be looking for or if i should just part with stereo.

or am i just better to put it up for sale as its meant for the omega.

Most Omegas have a 2 or 3 line text screen (TID or MID). One line is available for the radio. Top spec cars had GPS (NCDx) and a graphic screen.

In the 1990's Vauxhall used either an 8 or 10 digit code from the radio to drive the display. AFAIK all the radios fitted to Omegas used the 10 digit code (unless they were NCDx units with a graphic screen)

If your Signum can display a 10 digit code then it should be able to work with your radio (but you will probably have to modify the wiring to get it to work).

Signum is basically a Vectra-C, so uses different screens to Omega

Thanks guys all info and help is much appreciated, I would really like to get this working in my car. It basically is a vectra c but i believe there are various differances in some electrical components and the canbus system. Not 10 :y0% sure.

Once again thanks

Wish you all the best for Christmas and New Year. :y

4th one down I think.

That looks about right! The grey plug sounds familer also, i do know that for added security the stereo has to be mated to the car using Tech2.

Local Vauxhall Dealer qouted £48/58 with no gaurentee it would be successful. Bit of an expensive risk if it dont work.

the stereo doesnt need mating to the car, the screen needs pairing (married) to the stereo also dont know year of your car but if it has buttons not wheels on the steering wheel for radio controls then its half canbus if it has wheels then its full canbus
if its full canbus you would be better going for the cd70 with paired screen as a replacement  :y

Its 1/2 canbus. I only have buttons. The screen i have is the same as the SRi vectra c mfd. It sounds more possible to get it in my car.

I would need to get an ariel for the phone to work but that can wait. I have the correct speaker set up as far as i am aware as i have the speaker in the middle of the dash also.
Again thanks

It's a specific ccrt screen (similar to that used on the ccrt700 in mini facelift omega), it's common with the Vectra C but not with the Omega.
